This monograph is far-ranging, and discusses the need for a radical change in thinking on the part of individuals if we are to meet the climate challenge in a way that will allow the world to substantially minimize the harms it is causing now and will cause in the future. Beyond the call for individuals to change, there is a call for a world climate authority (Chapter 3), in view of the weaknesses in international climate agreements to date (including real penalties for lack of compliance). It ends with two brief letters, which are both appeals to fellow global citizens as well as to the world's heads of state (Chapters 4 and 5).
